i devoured 600 morally questionable pages
and you will too
“Baby, I’ll kneel.”
“Then I’ll drag my mouth up your thighs and pray into your cunt.”
sometimes we read a book that makes us question what the fuck the fmc is thinking.
sometimes we read a book that makes us throw our kindles across the room… and then pick it right back up.
this is both.
✦ smutty sunday
welcome (or welcome back) to a smutty sunday.
today’s book is everything we’re not supposed to like.
dark. disastrous. lustful. a little unhinged.
how fun.
✦ the precursor
tropes/genres: dark romance, serial killer?, taboo
smut rating: 8 - tipping dangerously close to the edge
sentiment rating: 3.5 - surprisingly the depth really comes from one side of the coin
✦ one-line synopsis
A criminology student becomes dangerously intrigued by a notorious imprisoned killer she set out to study, only to find herself drawn deeper into his twisted mind.
✦ un(filtered) thoughts
where do i even begin with this one?
this is easily one of the darker books i’ve talked about here… and no, it’s not a pretty romance. it’s not soft. it’s not safe. it’s obsessive, messy, morally questionable, and a little bit disturbing.
was it perfect? no.
did i absolutely devour all 600 pages? yes.
faith is a college student obsessed with criminology who decides to message an inmate - a man who slaughtered his own family and walked out of it smiling. from there, you’ll have to read to find out.
it’s not traditional. it’s not healthy. it’s not something you’d recommend to your coworker.
but it is gripping.
these 600 pages flew. and if book #2 had been available, i would’ve started it immediately.
this isn’t the plot police. this is the smut & sentiment society.
“I might not be a religious man, but I’d make gods and evils alike kneel at your feet.”
